Unlike Dorking, The Magpies have had a full week of rest prior to Saturday’s fixture – which holds massive implications at the bottom end of the table. Just 1 point separate the sides going into the weekends round of fixtures.

Maidenhead’s last outing resulted in a fifth defeat from their last six, AFC Fylde recording a vital 4-1 victory at Mill Farm as they continue their magnificent run of form to clamber away from the drop zone.

In fact, Alan Devonshire’s side last win came at The J Davidson Stadium two weeks ago, where Dorking, on Tuesday night, were unable to build on last weekends win against Chesterfield. Tom Blair’s penalty, won by some quick feet from Josh Taylor, came amidst a Wanderers onslaught on the Alty goal, however Marc White’s men were unable to find the decisive equaliser, running out 2-1 losers to the ten men of Altrincham

Team News

Dan Gallagher’s absence in recent weeks has been a result of a hernia problem, the midfielder faces an extended spell on the sideline as a result.

Matt Briggs sustained a hamstring injury on Tuesday night, and is unavailable for tomorrow’s match. Barry Fuller had a dead leg and was withdrawn on the hour mark, it remains to be seen whether he is rendered fit to play a part tomorrow.

Josh Taylor picked up his tenth yellow card of the season on Tuesday night, so is therefore suspended for our next two fixtures.

Opposition Focus – The Magpies

Maidenhead are no strangers to flirting with relegation, they finished in 20th last campaign, two points clear of the drop zone. The Magpies will be hoping to utilise their accumen to stay afloat again this season.

Devonshire’s men are enduring a sticky run of form which has seen them pick up just three points from a possible eighteen. Their last points at York Road came at the end of January.

Reece Smith is The Magpies’ top scorer this campaign with nine goals.

In his weekly update, White called Maidenhead “delightfully inconsistent, a bit like us in that sense”. Going on to state that it’d be a challenge to predict the winner of tomorrow’s huge clash at the bottom of the table.

Possible lineup: Ross, Asare, De Havilland, Lockko, Beckwith, Ferdinand, Petit, Mitchell-Lawoson, Adams, Smith, Abrahams

Last Time We Met

Our last trip to York Road came back in December 2022, where the two sides played out a 1-1 draw. Ryan Seager opened the scoring for Wanderers after just two minutes, converting Jasper Pattenden’s cross to net his ninth goal of the campaign.

Remy Clerima equalised for the hosts on the hour mark, heading past Joe Walsh in the Dorking sticks. Emile Acquah nearly gave Maidenhead the lead late on with a strike which came off the crossbar.

The points were eventually shared between the two sides, who both at the time sat in mid-table.
