Dorking Wanderers Football Club is pleased to announce that a US-based consortium has acquired a shareholding in the club.

The consortium is backed by entrepreneur James Sixsmith, a former professional ice hockey player and founder and CEO of Take Profit Trader, a leading trading education and funding business, whose investment will play a key role in supporting the club’s continued growth.

As a result of the partnership, the consortium will be represented in the UK by Daryl Cumberland, who will work closely with the club’s Senior Committee.

Commenting on the investment, Sixsmith said: “From my experience in professional sports, I know how far an investment can go for a team with a strong culture. My goal with this investment is to propel the club to new heights, and along with the club and Daryl, I’m very much looking forward to working with and supporting the team as a long-term strategic partner.”

Dorking Wanderers Executive Director Kris Lea welcomed the consortium to the club, stating: “We are an ambitious club and always look to bring in enthusiastic, like-minded individuals to help drive us forward. We are fortunate to have a large ownership group that continues to support our growth to date. We look forward to the contribution of Daryl, James and the wider team as we continue to build both on and off the pitch – with our primary objective clear: taking Dorking Wanderers into the Football League.”
