We are delighted to announce that central midfielder Dan Gallagher has committed his future at the club until the summer of 2028, following a two-year contract extension.
Dan began his career at AFC Wimbledon at the age of ten, spending seven years at the Wombles and making his debut in an away draw with Plymouth Argyle, before signing his first professional contract in February 2015. Gallagher proceeded to join our neighbours Leatherhead in July 2017, accumulating 87 appearances for the Tanners across two years at Fetcham Grove.
In August 2019, Dan made the short switch across Mole Valley to join the Wanderers, appearing in his first game at the end of that month. The 28-year-old played a pivotal role in the historic 2021/22 promotion season, and in the club’s two-year spell in the National League. Since arriving at Meadowbank, Dan has made over 200 appearances, ranking him ninth in all-time appearances in the fabled red and white.
On signing the new deal, Dan said:
“I’m really happy to stay here for another two years. I feel like this is my home now, like it has been for the last seven or eight years. I love it here, and can’t wait for the next two ”.
