We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Dover Athletic talisman George Nikaj.

Nikaj, who turns 23 today, is a product of the Dover Athletic Academy, making his first-team debut for the club in the National League in the 21/22 season. During his time at The Whites, the forward-thinking player had a successful two-month-long loan at Ashford United, netting nine goals in a short period of time at the Kent-based side.

A fans’ favourite amongst the Dover faithful, Nikaj has racked up a hatful of National League South appearances and was awarded the Golden Boot in their historic promotion season of 24/25, scoring 25 goals in all competitions. In their return to the sixth tier, George was able to accumulate 15 league goals across the campaign, including braces against the likes of Chelmsford City, Chesham United and AFC Totton.

As well as his fine goalscoring form in men’s football, Nikaj has also been applying his trade in Baller League for VZN FC, with 14 goal involvements across 10 games.

On signing the new deal, George said:

“I feel like this is the right club. I want to be part of a great footballing side that create loads of chances for the attackers. I can’t wait to get going.”

Marc White added:

“I’m over the moon George has committed himself to the club. He has been a player in high demand for the last few years, he’s a really big talent and can play in two or three positions. He brings youth, energy and freshness to the team. I feel like, in a Dorking side with the amount of final-third actions we create, he’ll be really effective for us. We’re delighted to welcome him and his family to the club.”
