We are delighted to announce the re-acquisition of Isaac Philpot from neighbours Horsham FC.

Isaac, pictured above in our new orange alternate shirt, began his footballing career in the youth setup at Sutton United before playing a host of games for Cardiff Metropolitan, where he first raised eyebrows amongst the Dorking camp. In July 2017, Isaac joined the Wanderers and played a key role in the Wanderers’ rise from the Isthmian League to the National League in a seven-year stint with the club, which also included loan spells at the likes of Raynes Park Vale and Horsham. The defender also starred in our Surrey Senior Cup triumph in 2022 against Kingstonian.

In summer 2024, Isaac joined Horsham FC on a free transfer and played a key part in their own promotion to the National League South. Last season, Philpot featured in 38 games, helping the Hornets survive in the sixth tier at the first time of asking. Fast forward to the present day, the defender returns to bolster the defensive assets in the Wanderers side, and you can watch him in action by grabbing your 26/27 season ticket.

On making his return to RH4, Isaac said:

“I’m a local lad, I grew up round the corner and went to the school down the road. The opportunity to play for my club is a great honour, so it was a no brainer to come back.”

You can watch the full interview with Isaac here.

Manager and Chairman Marc White added:

“I am delighted to welcome back Isaac. He is a rock at the back and Dorking Wanderers through and through. All parties were gutted with his departure a few seasons ago, which was circumstantial at the time due to other contractual commitments. At the time I told Isaac I would be looking to bring him back.

He epitomises the Wanderers spirit and with so many experienced players moving on, it is great to have a true Wanderer returning.”

You can buy tickets for Isaac’s first match back at Meadowbank on Tuesday 21st July here.
